Speakeasy at the Wheaty

It was another great night at the Wheatsheaf on October 14. We laughed with and at Peter Beaglehole as MC, we visited Bulgaria and Egypt, and stalked foodies while drinking and eating and drinking and making new best friends for life. Our next event is all set for Tuesday the 14th of October, and our special guest headliner is author Patrick Allington. It's shaping up to be an awesome night, so make sure you mark it down on your calendar!

The Emerging Writers' Festival is coming to Adelaide from Sept 5-7. There will be workshops, storytelling, masterclasses and chances to meet other writers. And that's the stuff we at Speakeasy are all about! So get out and check it out:

Speakeasy on Campus

Once again, Speakeasy readers old and new gathered at the Flinders Function Centre to share some of their new and exciting work. It was wonderful to see so many new faces, both at the microphone, and in the crowd, and to hear more from some of our amazing regular readers. It looks like it will be a top showing at our next public event at the Wheatsheaf (stay tuned for more details!)
